Hi, I’m Theunis Reynolds, a photographer with a deep passion for capturing the world in all its forms - the striking lines of architecture, the subtle beauty of nature, the boldness of fashion, and the intimacy of portraiture. Originally from South Africa, I now call Dubai home, but my work has taken me all over the globe.

Photography has always been my way of telling stories - whether I’m shooting the sleek, modern structures of a city skyline, the raw elegance of a sunset, or the expression of a person in a moment of quiet reflection. Growing up in South Africa, I was surrounded by incredible landscapes and architectural diversity, which shaped my approach to photography. Now, living in Dubai, I’m inspired by the unique blend of futuristic designs and rich cultural history that this city offers.

One of my most fulfilling projects is my Curiosity Portraits series, where I capture random people I meet on the streets and delve deeper into their stories. It’s an ongoing exploration of the diverse lives that intersect in our world. Each portrait is a window into someone's personal journey, and through this project, I’ve come to realize how much we all have in common, despite our differences. The stories I uncover are often moving, surprising, and always incredibly human.

When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll likely find me up in the skies. As an aviation enthusiast and licensed pilot, flying is another passion of mine that deeply influences my work. The view from above gives me a whole new perspective on the world, and I often draw from that sense of scale and beauty in my photography.

Every project I take on is an opportunity to capture something extraordinary. I strive to push the limits of my creativity, using light, composition, and angles to craft images that resonate and tell a story. For me, photography isn’t just a career - it’s a way to see the world from a different perspective, and I love sharing that perspective with others.

You might be wondering: Who is the couple in the start picture on my homepage? It’s actually a spontaneous shot I took while on holiday. This image is my absolute favorite because it perfectly captures a moment of pure connection and joy. It’s not just a couple on a scooter; it’s the feeling of freedom, spontaneity, and shared experience. In that brief instant, the world slows down, and you can almost feel the breeze and the laughter. For me, photography is about capturing these authentic, unposed moments, and this shot embodies everything I love about telling a story through images.
